Physiotherapy is recommended for those children whose motor abilities are delayed for their age, affecting their ability to function optimally in activities of daily living and causing difficulty with school participation (academically, socially or physically)
Play therapy is done on a weekly basis, in a one-on-one setting. The approach is usually non-directive and open ended and play is the child’s means of communicating what they are feeling, experiencing or struggling with.
Therapy usually happens on a one-to-one basis. Parent/care-giver involvement is encouraged to ensure both parent and child are empowered with the skills needed to help in the home and school environment.
