Dr Debbie Bredenkamp is a Homeopath with a special interest in children’s health. She graduated from University of Johannesburg as a mature student in 2009 and since then has spent much time learning about and treating the wide-spread diseases that threaten our children today like allergies, auto-immune and mental health. Homeopathy is a gentle, non-invasive medicine that seeks to treat the root cause of disease and encourage the body to heal itself. It is very specific to each patient and in-depth consultations are often needed to find the best remedies for the patient. This together with herbal and vitamin treatment (dispensed by the doctor) and dietary and lifestyle guidelines can do much to clean up and strengthen these little systems. Dr Debbie also believes in teaching and empowering parents to trust the innate healing propensity of their children’s bodies and even have a basic medicine kit at home to treat everyday problems. She is however also a family practitioner who treats adult issues like hormonal health, emotional health, acute and chronic diseases.
Homeopaths work in much the same way as general practitioners in diagnosis, but prescribe homeopathic and herbal medicines.
